Study of Conflicts / Relationships

Paul and Harold: Paul and Harold are best friends. They do everything together and they never fight. However they often have opposite points-of-view when it comes to heroism and priorities. Paul is courageous and doesn’t give in without a fight. Harold however, likes to take his time. He likes to sit back and watch how things pan out before taking action. And he often puts other things above being heroic (such as breakfast). This can cause conflict between the two friends but it is quickly resolved because Harold is easily persuaded or bribed.

Paul and Kate: Paul and Kate have a very nice, loving relationship. Paul values Kate’s life over his own. And Kate knows she can always count on Paul to be there when she needs him. However as they both are guardians of controllers of power, they have responsibility. And this can often get in the way of their relationship. But they never let it cause major problems.

Paul and Dr. Dreamcast: Paul and Dr. Dreamcast are polar opposites when it comes to the proper use of power. Dr. Dreamcast wants to gain power in order to become the best gamer in the world. He wishes to use his power to seek revenge on those who repressed and ignored him. Paul however knows that with great power comes great responsibility (clichéd or what?) and he only uses his power for fun and to defend the world against the evil of Dr. Dreamcast.

Dr. Dreamcast and Kate: Dr. Dreamcast is out to get Kate’s Wii controller of power. And although Kate is afraid and knows she won’t be able to defeat him, she stands up to fight. She uses all her might and stands up to him.

Summary

Lord of the Pwn

Episode 1 – The Beginning
An evil, power hungry villain, Dr. Dreamcast, is out to collect and command the legendary controllers of power. The controllers contain vast amounts of power and are given only to those worthy enough to hold them. Dr. Dreamcast tracks down the owner of the 360 controller of power using Xbox Live to find a gamer with a ridiculously high Gamerscore. He sends his willing servant, Shadow The Hedgehog to collect it. Having just beaten the high score on every Xbox 360 game Paul leaves his house with his old friend, Harold, to celebrate his victory. He places his controller in an ornamental box and exits the room, unbeknownst that he is being watched by Shadow. As soon as they are out of view, Shadow breaks into the room and takes the controller, dragging it across the floor as he goes.

Episode 2 – The Middle
Dr. Dreamcast, having obtained the 360 controller of power is now after his next goal, the Wii remote of power. He heads onto Myspace and looks up Wii in the interests section. He quickly finds Kate, the guardian of the Wii remote. Kate’s Myspace picture is of her and Paul and it is obvious that they have a relationship. Dr. Dreamcast sets out to defeat her using his newly acquired 360 controller. After having his 360 controller stolen, Paul is left only with a not-so-impressive, NES controller. He is determined to get back his 360 controller but Harold does not want to waste his last mana potion. Paul eventually convinces Harold to assist him with the quest. Dr. Dreamcast tracks down Kate and confronts her with the 360 controller. He threatens her. She fears for her life and txts Paul to come and save her. Paul receives the txt and he and Harold hurry to the train station on the back of a Chocobo. Dr. Dreamcast defeats Kate and takes her remote.

Episode 3 – The End
Paul and Harold arrive in time to hear Dr. Dreamcast monologging to Kate. They rush in and face Dr. Dreamcast. Dr. D mocks Paul’s NES remote and swiftly defeats him. Harold hands Paul a “Phoenix Down” who wakes with a mouthful of feathers. Paul’s NES controller “evolves” into another Wii remote and vicious battle ensues between Paul and Dr. Dreamcast. Using both the Wii remote and the 360 controller, Dr. D is the more powerful combatant and it seems like Paul will fail. At the last moment Harold pulls a PS3 controller of power out and using their combined might, they defeat Dr. D. Paul revives Kate and they walk home. Paul turns on his 360 and the “ring of death” appears. Paul screams in agony and horror.
